Sahara Las Vegas Refutes Claim It Is Permanently Closing

There has been a post circulating online that the Sahara Las Vegas, formerly SLS, formerly Sahara was set to close in September of this year.

The rumor is the casino has began “massive cuts” and would be closing permanently in September and would never open again. For me, that would be a huge bummer as I enjoy taking the Monorail to the Sahara to place my sports bets at the William Hill sports book located inside the casino. Great people work there.

As you may remember, the Sahara turned SLS turned back to Sahara just underwent a major $100,000,000.00 renovation. Obviously the COVID-19 outbreak has had seemingly every company in America look at their books in an effort to minimize losses.

The Sahara Las Vegas has denied the reports of a closure and has flat out said the rumor is “extremely disappointing” and “detrimentally impacts” the team members and community.

We’ll find out soon enough one way or another.
